Over the last two years Mr Crilley has taught my son to play drums and read drum music to a remarkably high standard. Whilst learning to play drums he also played in the school band which was lead by Mr Crilley. This has helped immensely with his confidence. I can’t thank Mr Crilley enough for his inspirational teaching and professional approach and for giving my son the foundations to become a competent musician.

Andy has taught all three of my sons over the last ten years, in drums, keyboard and electric guitar, individually and in bands. He has a great way with kids, understanding their different learning styles, encouraging them and challenging them in equal measure. His friendly, engaging nature enabled him to foster great relationships with all three very different personalities, resulting in them looking forward to their lessons, creating a relaxed and productive learning environment. Whilst he supports those wishing to formalise their learning by working through their grades, he does not push this onto children, focusing on their enjoyment in playing, allowing them to make their own decisions. My sons have made different choices and have all been able to work towards their individual goals. As a parent, he is a pleasure to welcome him into my home and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone wishing to learn.

All 3 of my children have been in bands with Mr. Crilley. They really enjoyed the whole experience of playing and performing in a band. It helped them to gain confidence and all 3 went on to continue performing at senior school. Andy is always encouraging the children and is flexible and supportive to parents too! Mr Crilley is a shining example of everything you'd expect from a music teacher but with a level of passion and charisma that sets him apart from the rest. His selfless teaching style and enthusiasm extends to children of every age, all of which have shown a respectable amount of progress from year to year. With an extensive background and love for music, Mr Crilley is able to comprehensively teach relevant and awesome things that keep the children engaged and in turn, developing their love of everything musical.

Mr Crilley is hilarious and makes the lessons really fun. We have learnt loads of songs and playing in gigs is really exciting. I even look forward to Mondays because it’s band day.

I love the band because it allows me to do music which is a real passion of mine. The gigs we do are so much fun and performing with professional equipment is amazing. I also love watching what other bands have done as well as performing myself. Band is so much fun.
